How we leveraged digital tools to put childcare and pre-k within reach

The Client

Within Reach is a campaign to put high-quality child care and pre-k within reach for working families across America. Spearheaded by the Center for American Progress (CAP), the #WithinReach campaign coordinates with progressive organizations and leaders at the national and state level to advance policies that create economic opportunities and ensure the youngest Americans are prepared with the educational foundation they need to succeed in the future.

The Opportunity

The Within Reach campaign produced immense research and resources outlining the policies and possibilities concerning high-quality child care and pre-k. Prior to launching, the campaign needed to develop a brand, website, interactive national map, social media assets and toolkits to support the campaign’s coordination and activation efforts.

The Strategy

Working with CAP, we developed a series of infographics and social media resources that leveraged the Within Reach brand we developed. These resources were housed on the responsive website we built and in PDF toolkits for easy access and sharing by campaign partners, supporters, policy-makers and public leaders. State-based content supported activity at the local level during major moments, such as presidential debates in the given state. An interactive national map on the website served as a central resource to detail the state of child care and pre-k access in each state.
